The Story

This is Japanese rock band Lie and a Chameleon's (嘘とカメレオン) first single to be released in Japan through a major label. L'oeil no rasen is also the band's first song to be used in a Japanese TV drama, and was used in Tokai TV's Settai Seigi (Justice Monster / 絶対正義).

Vocalist Cham (.△) comments, "We wanted to depict the concept of absolute justice without a definitive answer. So we started with an image of a large spiral staircase, like those found in optical illusions. And we likened it to the sensation of going round in circles repeatedly in a discussion. Everything is connected, but all the views are multifaceted; the danger is that a correct answer for one person may not be correct for someone else. Whether you watch the drama or listen to the song, I hope you can have fun exploring this concept!"

Tracklist

  1. L'oeil no rasen
    (ルイユの螺旋)

The track is also found on Lie and a Chameleon's EP Post Human No.5. The band's first international CD JUGEM is also available.
